How teaching data is handled

Experiment Foundry is designed not to collect student names, email addresses, group membership, or institutional identifiers. A random assignment credential links a protocol and generated files to an assignment.

Data we process

We store the submitted experimental protocol, review results, generation status, generated synthetic files, audit records, and limited service-usage metadata. Instructor accounts use an email address for authentication. Payment providers process billing details; the application records order identifiers and status.

Purpose and access

Protocol data is used to review a design and produce an educational synthetic dataset. Students can access student-facing files for their credential. Authorized instructors can access assignment records and instructor-only simulation files. Platform owners can administer the service.

Retention and deletion

Each assignment has a stated retention date. A scheduled cleanup removes assignment protocols, credentials, jobs, and generated files after that date. Operational backups and legally required financial records may follow separate approved retention periods.

Third-party processing

Protocol content is sent to the configured AI provider for review and dataset generation and files are stored in the configured private cloud storage. Your institution should publish its controller identity, lawful basis, processor list, contact address, and complaint route before student use.

Student choices

Do not enter personal data about yourself or research participants. Contact your instructor to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable, or if you believe information was entered accidentally.
